Castle Hill Press special issues
Following a long-established tradition among private-press publishers, we issue a small number of special copies of each of our titles. These often contain extra content, such as a section of facsimiles or an additional pamphlet. They are bound by leading craft binderies.
Since 2000, we have produced both full-goatskin and quarter-goatskin specials. Letters series volumes in the full-goatskin are bound differently, while the quarter-goatskin spines are a uniform red-brown colour.
We also intend to produce a small number of copies of each title bound to a design specially commissioned from a leading contemporary craftsman. These copies will build into an interesting collection of binding designs at the beginning of the twenty-first century.
The links below lead to illustrated specifications of all the Castle Hill Press specials issued so far.

. . . a quite invaluable job in publishing (very beautifully . . .) many of the writings of TEL which hitherto have been available only in manuscript form in museums, libraries or private collections, or in out-of-print books which are very hard to obtain. An excellent set of publications that are beautifully edited and produced. A wonderful addition to my library and to any library.
